Arriaga is a city and one of the 119 municipalities of Chiapas, in southern Mexico.

As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 34,032.[1] It covers an area of 653.3 km² and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the neighbouring state of Oaxaca, as well as by the Chiapas municipalities of Cintalapa, Jiquipilas, Villaflores and Tonalá.

The name of the city honours Ponciano Arriaga, the name given to it upon creation of the municipality on 28 May 1910. It was given city status on 1 December 1943.
